Whole-Home Water Filtration
A whole-home filter treats water where it comes into the house, so every faucet and shower gets filtered water. It can cut down chlorine taste and smell and reduce sediment, and some systems also help with hard water buildup.

Water treatment systems we install
Most homes use a combination of these. We test your water first and recommend only what fixes the problems you actually have.
Why people install one
- Better-tasting water from every tap, not just the kitchen
- Less chlorine smell in the shower
- Less sediment reaching fixtures and appliances
- Help with scale buildup on fixtures, depending on the system
How we install it
We install the system on the main line where it enters the house, with bypass valves so filters can be changed without shutting everything down. We'll recommend a system based on your water, your house and your budget, and explain what each one does and doesn't do.
Upkeep
Every system needs filter changes. We'll tell you how often and what it costs before you choose, so there are no surprises.
Common questions
Is a whole-home filter the same as a water softener?
No. A carbon filter removes things like chloramine and sediment. A water softener deals with hardness. Many setups combine both.
Where does it go?
Usually near where the main line enters the house, often in the garage or along an outside wall.
Do I still need a filter under the sink?
It depends on what you want removed. A reverse osmosis system at the kitchen sink removes dissolved minerals and sodium that a whole-house filter doesn't.
